Meet Steve
I first became aware of the importance of what we consume in our diets over 20 years ago, I had an allergy to MSG(monosodium glutamate) without knowing – this well known flavour enhancer is in so many different processed foods and even used in traditional cooking in Asia; I was consuming MSG regularly without even knowing it and suffering what I thought was heart palpitations, was actually a symptom of consuming MSG itself. After many hours reading and speaking to various doctors who seemed to be totally oblivious to what MSG was, I decided to remove MSG from my diet completely – this meant being severely strict with my diet, as MSG is in the majority of varieties of crisps, sauces, stock, processed nuts, ready made meals, takeaways and many other foods.
My Valued Realisation
In a way I am pleased I had this allergy as it led me down a road to seeing what we put in our body is our own responsibility and not that of a doctor who will not have any idea of your whole lifestyle, diet, how your body works and is just happy to throw a few pills at you and send you on your way – I had become aware of my own body and my responsibility to look after it, nobody else’s!! I still to this day cannot believe how something so important is not taught in schools or by parents and am always amazed when people present themselves to me with a host of health problems and do not understand the cause – when they are consuming a diet high in processed foods and junk. Since my realisation that we are responsible for everything we consume, I have switched to a clean diet and eat no processed foods at all – my skin is clear, I feel great, I have not had any palpitations of the heart and I am happier than ever; it is my passion to help people to get to this point and realise their own responsibility to look after themselves.
My Goal Is To Help People Realise They Can Change Their Lifestyle
I believe that every illness is caused by a deficiency in minerals the body needs to function correctly, we do not have a deficiency in chemicals the doctors give us, I believe these are just treating the symptoms and not the cure, they are not a fix – modern medicine is brilliant and has a place in the world, I have come to the conclusion that there needs to be more emphasis on education and making people aware of the damage they are doing to their own bodies. Once the body gets to a point of breaking down and going into inflammation and illness, it is necessary to work out what causes that and I believe with the correct nutrition and balance of supplements, the damage can be reversed – I have seen firsthand how someone can come back from the brink!! It is my goal to help people realise they can change their lifestyle for the better and reclaim their health.
